The disturbance the peace to which I refer to here is the Benzodiazepine (Bensos) Class of Pharmaceuticals. It is my belief that this class of drug is well overdue a NEW safety review.
808 is the penal code (USA) for disturbing the peace; it refers to the sound of bass from stereos. The Roland TR-808 drum machine, which is a popular sample, was named after this penal code.

Front and centre is Alprazolam (trade name Xanax, street name Bars among others) because it has become a ‘Doctor Shopping’ favourite. In extreme cases Bars are abused like lollies (40 per day).

The relatively low Xanax dose, when compared to the other benzodiazepines, is actually quite deceptive. The general concensus on therapeutic doseage equivalency among benzodiazepines is as follows:
0.5mg Xanax
1 mg Ativan
0.5 mg Klonopin
10 mg Diazepam, Valium
25 mg. Librium, Chlordiazepoxide
As you can see, 2mgs of Xanax is really not a small dose at all. It is equal to 10mg valium! Despite the fact that most doctors would never prescribe that much Valium, patients are far too often put on corresponding doses of Xanax, and unknowingly become extremely dependent on the drug.
The benzodiazepines are habit forming. W/D can be quite serious, is of the alcohol type, and can lead to seizures and death if not managed medically.
Most disturbing in Stoner’s observation on the streets is removal of conscience & a desire to steal without INTENTIONALITY!

Michael Jackson is alleged to have swallowed eight pills of the benzodiazepine lorazepam.
This may have impaired his judgement and contributed to his death!
