Once upon a time on a blog called Soul Pacific, I’d put up a regular series of posts – “Great Moments In Aviation” – as a rigorous historical analysis of milestones in manned flight.

In the same spirit, I now offer a new series – “To The Stars” – in which I trace humanity’s adventures on the high frontier, whether they happened or not.

I’ll start on a truly inspiring note with an epic tale of how one man with a vision and some nifty programming skills conquered space as it should have been conquered.

However, do not expect future posts to hit such a high note.
