Three years ago now, a market professional asked me what I thought of what is often called the “GOLDILOCKS” stock market run.

“WEAK CURRENCY STRONG STOCK MARKET” was my quip…. and it still is for the foreseeable future!

As you can see from the above chart I am talking about the $US.

In broad terms the weakening US$ has put a plank under World Stock Markets and because Commodities are usually expressed in $US there is also a plank under Commodity prices.

I know, all Stock Market booms eventually come to an end; but given the above conditions the end is presently not on my radar.
