First of all let us welcome the new leader of the opposition Malcolm Turnbull (the merchant of Venice) to the post!
We all benefit from a strong opposition.
The current black dog economy has played into the hands of Malcolm as he has the character and background to stand on his own two feet; particularly when it comes to all things financial. He already has Crudd reacting to his moves.
But for Malcolm danger still lurks within his own pack.
I get the impression another old dog, in the form of Peter Costello, still has his eye on the bone. In the future, once the economy gets on a more even keel, Costello may attack.
